Complicated simplicity
What does that mean?
It means to me something like do something that for most people is very complicated, but make it look easy to do it.
For instance this website:
When I post something here it automatically within seconds post the entry as a link on Twitter. It also within seconds post a link to my Facebook wall. Within 30 minutes my RSS Feed will be updated for people to follow whenever something new have happened, even if they use a mobile device. And if they use a mobile device, they can choose to check back at the website using the even simplest WAP capable phones and PDAs on my mobile site.
However, my life have not gone completely public by making this site. I can still post private on Facebook, were only my friends can see what I’m writing. That requires me to actually log in to Facebook to do so. I can also choose to post locally on Twitter, requires log in direct on the site, and as Twitter is it is still public area for everyone to see.
It was a bit complicated to make this magic happen, until I figured out the system everything was connected - so whenever i posted something here it was reposted on Facebook, reposted on twitter, twitter was reposted to here and here was reposted to Facebook… Not very clever… But thats apparently how the standart settings is setup, I wonder who would ever do that…
